Dual Education and Training System

The dual education and training system is based on partnership and cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the private sector, students, and their guardians. It aims to create an integrated education model that graduates skilled technicians who can work efficiently in the Egyptian labor market. Students study an industrial, agricultural, commercial, or hospitality occupation in a dual technical education school, receive theoretical education and basic vocational training, then complete practical training inside a training facility provided by service providers and their local units across governorates.

Study and Training Model

  • Students spend two days per week at school for theoretical learning and basic practical training in the selected occupation.
  • Students spend four days per week at the training facility to receive practical training in the same occupation.
  • Students are entitled to 30 days of leave during the calendar year. During summer vacation, they train six days per week inside the training facility.

Benefits After Graduation

  • A technical secondary school diploma under the dual education and training system from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
  • An experience certificate from the supervising training body.
  • A monthly allowance and incentives from the training facility.
  • Practical and technical experience in the selected occupation.
  • Faster access to strong job opportunities, with the possibility of employment at the same training facility or another one when merit is proven.
